Community-Based Accountability Design

The state’s A-F accountability system is hijacked by STAAR, politics, and educational narrowness. I am proud to have created the first CBAS in Texas. Would you like to begin a local, non-TEA directed, Community-Based Accountability System?

• Facilitate stakeholder discussions about the what and why of CBAS.
• Seek to understand what data are important to your community.
• Seek to understand what programs and opportunities for students are unique, special, or important.
• Provide recommendations on how to draft an initial CBA Report.

Strategic Planning Facilitation

Every organization needs to occasionally determine whether to continue on a strategic direction, reset a vision, or create new objectives. The true power of strategic planning exists in authentic professional dialogue in the development stage, followed by implementation in the action phases.

Services I will provide for you:

• Speak with leadership to understand the organization’s strengths and weaknesses.
• Facilitate a strategic planning session to develop mission, vision, strategies, and goals/objectives.
• Follow-up 6-8 weeks later to get a status update on action planning and implementation progress.

School Board Continuing Education

School Board Trustees in Texas are required to earn continuing education hours each year. Instead of a cookie-cutter approach from some providers, I provide training that includes data, awareness, and programmatic understanding about your district.

Survey
Analysis

Surveys are only as meaningful as the analysis produced and shared from the data submitted. Many programs now provide analysis of single surveys, but how do different survey results connect? I combine disparate data sets to make meaning of both multiple choice and open-ended responses.

• Themes from surveys with supporting quotes and data.
• Observations that require further data, analysis, or research.
• Identification of strengths and weaknesses with supporting quotes and data.

Microsoft Excel
Training & Support

Excel can be both a lifesaver and a struggle. Efficiencies that could be gained from Excel are lost when users don’t understand how to effectively use the program.

Do you have staff members that need to combine or analyze multiple worksheets? Do you have staff members that are doing manual calculations or data entry because they don’t want to feel like they need help?

Services I will provide for you:

• Perform analysis and/or provide support for district staff who need to use Excel for job functions.
